James (Jamie) Dlugosch is the founder of The Rational Trader and Co-Host with Louie Navellier of The Rational Trader Podcast. He began his Rational journey back in 2002 when he founded the groundbreaking Rational Investor newsletter.
In addition to being an investment guru and macro strategist, Mr. Dlugosch and his family have been long-time venture investors in a number of companies with a diverse background in both the technology and finance sectors. He is best known for developing a one-number strategy for identifying stocks poised to double in value or more over a 1–3-year period. With The Rational Trader, he is using the same techniques to find arbitrage opportunities that can be exploited each and every day utilizing highly liquid and heavily traded exchange-traded funds.
Mr. Dlugosch is well respected in the financial community, having been published or interviewed by a number of the largest, most influential media outlets in the business, including MSN Money, MarketWatch, CNBC, and The Street, to name a few. Previously, he has been a registered investment advisor working with individually managed accounts as well as a publicly traded mutual fund. He also spent time working with other investment advisors, including being the President and CEO of Al Frank Asset Management.
Mr. Dlugosch received his BS degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, and his MBA at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He lives in Minneapolis, MN, with his two daughters, Julia and Ellie.
