The unfortunate reality is that many people and much of the investing public sees investing and trading is risky and will as a result only speak negatively about it. Those people don’t understand the idea of risk management and will not be a positive influence on you.
Then there is the gambler who will take just about any trade regardless of how bad the risk/reward…don’t hang out with him/her.
A healthy approach to trading and investing sees the inherent risk management exercises and treats it as such. Stay positive and encouraged by surrounding yourself with positive people.
